Hello Church Family,
You all have been constantly in my prayers this week in the days following Hurricane Beryl. Many have downed fences and trees, some had damage to cars and homes, and most experienced power outages that lasted anywhere from hours to days. (Some are still waiting for their power to come on.)
I wanted you to know how to reach out if you need help. We have set up an e-mail account that can be used to let us know if you need help recovering from Hurricane Beryl. E-mail [email protected] to let us know how we can assist you.
I also want you to encourage you, if you are able, to be the church to those needing help. If you would like to help, let us know by e-mailing [email protected] so that we can connect you with opportunities to serve.
If you would like to give a financial gift to assist with the recovery in our region, you can give online, selecting Disaster Relief as the fund. There will be other ways to help in the coming days, like joining a work team through the Texas Annual Conference.
You can also offer assistance through the ministry of presence, by sharing good news with your neighbors, encouraging those who are working in the heat and the rain to restore your power, and helping others wherever you can.
If you need anything, please reach out. Seek the Lord, who is your refuge and strength and keep sharing the goodness of God with others.
