First Methodist Houston Men’s Ministry
MEN’S SMALL GROUP
Being a man is a battle. You don’t have to fight alone. Join our Men’s small group and let’s become the men God already created us to be. Pastor Emil is launching our men’s group for 18-35-year-olds. We meet Wednesday evenings at the West Campus. For more information, contact us here for more information.
We hope that this group will be a launching point of restoration and actualization of everything God has created you to be. Our prayer and hope is that our men’s community could be a diverse group of men who are seeking, doubting, and living this journey together, voicing their journey and listening to God and listening to each other.
UNITED METHODIST MEN
“Every Man Shares in Evangelism, Mission, and Spiritual Life”
Purpose: United Methodist Men shall be a creative, supportive fellowship of men who seek to know Jesus Christ, to grow spiritually and to seek daily his will. Our primary purpose is to declare the centrality of Christ in the lives of men and in all their relationships.
The General Commission of United Methodist Men is located in Nashville, Tennessee. You may learn more by viewing their webpages at: www.gcumm.org, or their webpages at the Texas Conference at: www.txcumm.org. Our local chapter began in January 2000. It is chartered and fully structured with by-laws and rules, that are in full harmony with the discipline of the United Methodist Church. A slate of officers is elected annually that include a: president, vice-president, secretary, treasurer, spiritual life leader, publicity chairman, and an immediate past president. These officers also make up the executive committee. The motto of United Methodist Men is “Be doers of the word, not hearers only”.
