God could have sent Jesus as a mighty king wearing a fine robe, ruling from a golden palace but instead, He sent a baby, wrapped in humble linen, lying in golden straw in a manger. God could have sent Jesus as a mighty warrior bearing arms, but instead, He sent a baby with no weapon but only with loving hands to reach up to His mother. God sent us a humble baby, His only Son, who will become the savior of the world.
Prayer:
Father, we give You our heartfelt praise. How can we ever express our gratitude for sending Your Son to us? We give You our love and our obedience. We will serve You all the days of our lives.
