Scripture:
But the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary; you have found favor with God. You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you are to call him Jesus. He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High.”

Can you imagine how Mary felt when she found out she was pregnant? While hearing the voice of God declare the miracle that was unfolding in her, she must have felt a multitude of emotions including fear, joy, amazement, and more. The Lord does not expect us to ignore our feelings when we are called, but rather to be attentive to Him even in the midst of our emotions.
Prayer:
Lord, help us to be self-aware. Show us how to honor our emotions as part of being created in Your image. Grant us wisdom to hear Your calling and courage to do it, even if it scares us. We love you, Lord. Thank you for your Divine plan revealed through Jesus Christ.
