Scripture:
“By him [Jesus] therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.”
– Heb 13:15 (NASB)
A central theme of Hebrews is that Jesus Christ has now become our High Priest by virtue of His sacrificial death for humanity on the cross. As believers, we can now offer God a continual sacrifice – a sacrifice of praise and thanksgiving, through Christ Jesus. Praise God today for all that He has done for You. Give thanks to Him for who He is.
Prayer:
Lord, thank You for giving us access to the Father by virtue of Your sacrificial death. We offer a sacrifice of praise and thanksgiving. We are grateful for all the things you have done in our lives, and for what You would still do.
