Scripture:
This is the confidence which we have before Him, that, if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. – 1 John 5:14 (NIV)
When we realize that we are deeply loved, we are free to be confident. Our heavenly Father loves us with a depth that we cannot completely comprehend and when we pray according to His will, He hears us. This is not based on our feelings or ability to understand. Ask Him to align you to His will so that you will know what He wants you to ask of Him.
Prayer:
Father, help us to receive Your love for us so we understand our place with You. Soften our hearts to accept any answer to our prayers. Help us align our prayers with Your will. Ease the defiant spirit that desires to have our own way, in our own timing and replace it with a longing to pursue only You. Humble our hearts and remove our pride so that we may accept Your perfect answer to our prayers.
