Day 67

Scripture:
Do not call to mind the former things, or ponder things of the past. Behold, I will do something new, now it will spring forth; will you not be aware of it? I will even make a roadway in the wilderness, rivers in the desert.
– Isaiah 43:18-19 (NASB)

We must allow past experiences with the Lord to shape us and guide our decisions. However, we don’t want to become so comfortable living in the past that we fail to see the new thing God is doing in our midst. Let’s open our minds to the new things God is doing. The Lord will guide us, season by season, and allow us to be comfortable only for a little while. But if we remain open and listen to God’s leading, He will take us to the next level. Be prepared to let go of the former things, because God is about to bring forth something new.

Prayer:
Father God, we come before You with thankful, open hearts and listening ears. As we walk together through this Year of Prayer, guide us in this new season to embark on the new things You are putting before us.
