Scripture:
Therefore, if you have been raised up with Christ, keep seeking the things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your mind on the things above, not on the things that are on earth. – Col 3:1-2 (NASB)
Have you examined your soul lately? Ask God to show you where your deepest affections actually lie. Jesus reminds us not to store up temporal treasures which can be destroyed by moth and rust or could be broken into by thieves and stolen. The Lord wants us to store up heavenly treasures, where neither moth nor rust destroys, and where thieves do not break in or steal, for where our treasure is our hearts will be.
Prayer:
Lord, forgive me for the times when my priorities are misplaced. Cause my heart to be set on things above, on things that are eternal, that I may live my life with eternity in view, always pleasing unto You.
