Prayer: Lord, forgive me for any weakness in me that keeps me from seeing the suffering of the poor. Save me from the cowardice of arrogance, help me to understand their situation instead of blaming them for their plight. Give me the courage to give aid as You lead, without judgment or opinion. Help me see them as You see them, and to hold their lives as valuable as I hold my own.
