My deepest encounters with God usually happen in relationship with others. Lately, I have been praising God for Lety, a Neighbors in Action mom. Her husband beat and left her, after she discovered that he was having an affair with a man. As a single mom with a son who has a serious heart condition, she also had to undergo a surgery that amputated both of her legs. When she started coming to our moms’ Bible study and faith sharing group, she was bitter and hardened, but over the last couple of months has undergone a complete transformation, is praising God and feeling empowered by His love.
I praise God for using Lety’s example to put my own worries into perspective and remind me daily of a Love that truly carries us through EVERYTHING. – Kathrin Meier
