Scripture: When the wine was gone, Jesus’ mother said to him, “They have no more wine.” “Woman,[a] why do you involve me?” Jesus replied. “My hour has not yet come.” His mother said to the servants, “Do whatever he tells you.”

Do you ever tell Jesus how He should solve your problems? When we need help, all we need to do is trust Him and let go of our preconceived outcomes. Mary is persistent in her petition but is content with whatever Jesus decides to do. That is the essence of active faith in Jesus.
Prayer: Jesus, thank You for answering my prayers. Forgive me for the times I have tried to control and solve problems my way. Help me remember to submit to You, Lord, trusting that You will work out my request in Your perfect way and time.
Petition: For us to be patient with what God is working out in our church and to look for Him in the midst.
