Scripture:
He said to another man, “Follow me.” But he replied, “Lord, first let me go and bury my father.” Jesus said to him, “Let the dead bury their own dead, but you go and proclaim the kingdom of God.

There is no greater priority in our lives than following Jesus. The radical nature of the relationship is seen dramatically when compared to the most sacred moments of our lives. It’s not that God doesn’t value our priorities, it simply reveals how deeply God desires us.
Prayer: Lord, we know that You have a plan and purpose for each of us. We want to do Your will. Please give us the wisdom to discern Your will for our lives and the courage to follow You boldly.
Petition: For those who have resisted God’s calling to leave behind their worldly priorities and follow Him.
