Scripture:
But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to shame the things which are strong.
– I Corinthians 1:27
God will use anyone He chooses. We may think we are wise because of age, or experience, or education. If we have a preconceived notion of who should lead based on our criteria, we may find that God makes moves that shock us! The person we think least qualified may be the one He raises up. God only requires a servant’s heart willing to show up.
Prayer: Father, forgive us when our pride gets in the way. Remind us to consult You in the decisions before us.
Petition: For God to give each church member a teachable spirit. That we will be driven by His love for us and that we can place ourselves in our brother and sister’s shoes and offer grace and forgiveness as is required.
