David’s description of God’s protective hand over His children is reassuring. If you need encouragement, confess out loud these same words. It will embolden your spirit. God is your strength! He is your rock, your fortress and refuge. God is your shield, a stronghold protecting you from the arrows of the enemy. You can move forward with your head held up high knowing that God is backing you up.
Prayer: Father, forgive us when we allow fear to grip us. Help us remove all doubts and deepen our trust in Your promises.
Petition: For our local government leaders to lead with compassion and justice. To be strengthened and have wisdom for the tasks at hand. For them to be guided by love and free from personal gain and political pressure.
