Scripture:
The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, “Look the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!
– John 1:29
Four things to ponder in this passage:
1. John sees Jesus coming toward him and his response. Do you recognize and respond this way to Jesus?
2. Lamb of God. Why this illustration?
3. Takes away.
4. Sin of the world. Could the sin of the world be pride?
Prayer: Jesus, I worship You. You are the Lamb of God. I am overwhelmed by the sin of pride in my life. It is so deep, I don’t even recognize it as sin. Thank You for removing the penalty of it through your blood. Help me recognize and die to it daily.
Petition: For the children involved in our Quillian camp this summer. That they will be drawn to God’s presence and be open to hear God’s word through their chapel times.
