Day 257

Scripture:

For His anger is but for a moment, His favor is for a lifetime; Weeping may last for the night, But a shout of joy comes in the morning.

– Psalm 30:5 NASB

All of God’s children will experience sorrow at some point of their lives. Sometimes the pain is so deep that it hurts to breathe. In anguish, David asks “how long O Lord?” God asks us to keep trusting Him. Don’t go by feelings but what you know of Him. God is good, God is just and God is loving. He loves His children. Sorrow will only be for a little while. Rest assured joy will come in the morning.

Prayer: Father, thank You for giving us strength and not allowing pain to overcome us. Hold us in the palm of Your hand. Do not allow us to suffer more than we can bear.

Petition: For those participating in our 3663 Food Pantry at the West Campus. For the volunteers to be blessed as they serve God and others and for those coming for food to experience God’s love and grace. That each person will find the experience to be lifegiving and that God will use it for many to find Him.
