Day 246

Scripture:

As Jesus went with him, he was surrounded by the crowds. A woman in the crowd had suffered for twelve years with constant bleeding, and she could find no cure. Coming up behind Jesus, she touched the fringe of his robe. Immediately, the bleeding stopped. “Who has touched me?” Jesus asked. Everyone denied it, and Peter said, “Master this whole crowd is pressing against you.” But Jesus said, “Someone deliberately touched me, for I felt the power go out from me.

– Luke 8:42-46 (NLT)

Jesus was on his way to Jairus’ house to heal his beloved daughter. In the meantime, a woman pressed up against him and he felt the power go out from him. Jesus never lacks the power to act in our lives. If he doesn’t grant what you ask in faith, it is never because he lacks the power. I believe it’s because He wants to release his all-surpassing power and reveal an even greater glory through another answer.

Prayer: Jesus, help me come to you like the woman who bled for twelve years. I place my broken body before you. I know that You have the power to heal and make me whole. Grant me the patience to wait and see what wonderful things You have in store for my life. In You, I place my trust.

Petition: For those who are in need of physical and mental healing.
