Day 245

Scripture:

Return and say to Hezekiah the leader of My people, ‘Thus says the LORD, the God of your father David, “I have heard your prayer, I have seen your tears; behold, I will heal you.

– 2 Kings 20:5 (NASB)

We are all in need of healing whether in our bodies, our minds or our hearts. King Hezekiah prayed for physical healing; the Lord answered him immediately. Daniel prayed for understanding. He received an answer on the 21st day (Dan 10:12-13). Hanna wept year after year for a child and the Lord remembered (1Sam 1:7,19). The power of prayer is immense. It is hard to wait for an answer, but we must trust God for His response whether it is a yes, no, or not yet.

Prayer: Father, You said, “call upon Me and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you”. Thank You. In our most painful moments, these words give tremendous comfort. It is all we need. We praise and love You no matter the response.

Petition: For those facing injustice around the world. That they will be comforted by the Spirit and not lose hope, even in the face of waiting.
