Scripture:
Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.”
– Hebrews 13:5
Meditate on this verse today. How are you doing with your relationship with money? Do you think about it a lot? We can obsess about money whether we have it or not. Ask God to help you take an honest evaluation of your relationship with money (and things). List the things for which you are thankful that do not concern money. Ask Him to help you be content with what He has given, trusting that He will never leave or forsake you.
Prayer: Talk to the Lord and confess as you need to.
Petition: For each member of our church to be drawn into a deeper relationship with God. For us to be unsatisfied with money and things and only find contentment in knowing Him.
