Scripture:
For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord. Plans to prosper you and not harm you plan to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you.
– Jeremiah 29:11-12 (NIV)
God has a plan for us. He plans to prosper us, give us hope and assure our future. We can take God at His word and stop trying to secure plans for ourselves. Then we can be free from the emotional weight that demands the best of our attention, free to offer the resources of our interior to God, and free to see that He is listening.
Prayer: Father, thank You that Your plans for us are more wonderful than what we hope for ourselves. Forgive us for trying to secure our own future. Help us trust Your divine providence and free us to call on You with the confidence of beloved children.
Petition: For our ministry in Nepal. For the pastor and his wife and children to be encouraged and sustained as they minister to so many. For the six boys that they are carrying for: their health, education, and protection. For the families around them who are living with few resources, they will be encouraged and come to know God’s love for them.
