Jesus said, “I am the resurrection and the life.” His claim is that He is the source of both. There is no resurrection apart from Christ, and there is no eternal life apart from Christ. This is a statement concerning His divine nature. Jesus does more than give life; He is life. Death has no power over Him.
Prayer: Jesus, thank you for offering us eternal life. Thank you for dying on the cross for our sin, forgiving us, and making it possible for us to be restored to You. We love You.
Petition: For Jim Arnold and his ministry (Skills for Life) in the prisons. For Jim to be encouraged and prosperous. For new leaders to be drawn to the ministry. For the men and women attending the programs to come to know Christ and His forgiveness and restoration.
