Day 214

Scripture:

For His anger is but for a moment, His favor is for a lifetime; Weeping may last for the night, But a shout of joy comes in the morning.

– Psalm 30:5 (NASB)

All of God’s children will experience sorrow at some point in their lives. The pain can feel so deeply that it hurts to breathe. Even David cried out in anguish “How long O Lord?” God asks us to keep trusting Him. We should not be swayed by emotion, but rather act on what we know of Him. God is good, God is just, and God loves His children. Our sorrow will only be for a little while. Rest assured, joy will come in the morning.

Prayer: Father, thank You for strengthening us so the pain does not overcome us. You hold us in the palm of Your hand. You will not allow us to suffer more than we can bear.

Petition: For Westchase Classical Academy (school at the West Campus). For each child to be physically and emotionally protected. For them to excel in understanding their studies and for the school to be a safe place for them to thrive. For the teachers and administrators to be encouraged and strengthened as they lead. For them to grow in love and knowledge of God.
