Day 202

Scripture:

Martha was distracted by all the preparations that had to be made. She came to him and asked, “Lord, don’t you care that my sister has left me to do the work by myself? Tell her to help me!” “Martha, Martha,” the Lord answered, “you are worried and upset about many things, but few things are needed—or indeed only one. Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her.”

— Luke 10:40-42

It’s easy to relate to Martha, distracted by the to-do list. We place more significance on getting things done, especially for the Lord than spending time with the Lord. Mary understood that the most important place to be was at the feet of Jesus. Now ask yourself, are you a Mary or a Martha? If the answer is the latter, petition the Lord to help you see through His eyes.

Prayer: Lord, forgive us when we blaze through the day never having acknowledged You. Thank You for your mercy and forgiveness. Thank You for Your loving arms that are always open to greet us.

Petition: For Westchase Classical Academy at the West Campus. For safety, protection, and teachable hearts for the children who God has placed here. For the children and their families to prosper and be drawn to a relationship with God. For the staff and teachers to be strengthened, encouraged, and knowledge of God’s great love for them.
