Scripture:
“Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position. Do not be conceited.”
— Romans 12:16 (NIV)
We are all God’s people and are called to live together peacefully and harmoniously. Jesus judges the heart, not the mind, financial status, or any other thing that the world values. Let us do the same. Jesus never hesitated to engage wholeheartedly with the person in front of Him, even if they were living on the street or a widely feared person of power.
Prayer: Jesus, we ask to humbly see others, not as the world sees them but, as you do. We know that success here means nothing in the Kingdom of Heaven. Allow us to remain focused on You. May we never become conceited but remain humble servants for You.
Petition: For the Missions Ministries of our church as we serve the poor and oppressed in our community and globally. For God to continue to lead us in the opportunities that He is providing. For the staff and committee to have wisdom and insight as opportunities avail themselves.
