Scripture:
“Therefore, humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, so that He may exalt you at the proper time.”
– 1 Peter 5:6 (NASB)
Pride separates us from knowing God. Humility is the antidote to pride and we must pursue it if we want to know God. When we humble ourselves, God exalts us in His time, in keeping with His will. Humble yourself. It is within our control if we truly want to know God.
Prayer: Lord, I humble myself before You today in total surrender to Your lordship. Create in me a humble, teachable spirit so that I can know You, as I await Your hand of exaltation in my life.
Petition: For the youth of our church. For them to grow in love, grace, and knowledge of Christ and have hearts for Christ and His Kingdom. For protection from evil and to be set apart for God’s work. For them to lead their elders in humility and boldness for Christ.
