Day 193

Scripture:

“I acknowledged my sin to You, and I did not hide my guilt; I said, ‘I will confess my wrongdoings to the Lord, And You forgave the guilt of my sin.”

– Psalms 32:5 (NASB)

David penned these words at one of the lowest points of his life, after committing adultery and murder. The way to restoration with God is through confession of sin and repentance. Do you think that your sin or transgression is beyond the reach of God’s mercy? Like David, turn to the Lord and confess. You will receive the mercy God lavishes on those who turn to Him in genuine repentance.

Prayer: Father, thank you for your son, Christ Jesus, who makes Your mercy available regardless of the gravity of my sin. I confess my transgressions to You and ask for Your mercy, forgiveness, and restoration.

Petition: For the Source congregation to be unified in Christ. For a fresh breath of the Spirit and a heart for evangelism for those who don’t yet know Christ. For a hunger to know God deeper and a desire to serve within and outside of the community.
