“And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; he will crush your head, and you will strike his heel.” To the woman he said, “I will make your pains in childbearing very severe; with painful labor you will give birth to children. Remembering our mortality helps us remain humble and keeps everything in perspective. Contemplate your mortality today and thank God for every breath that He has given you. Ask Him to forgive you for thinking too highly of yourself.
Prayer: Father, forgive my arrogance. I repent of my pride. Help me remember that I am mortal and insignificant apart from You. Teach me humility and help me find Your wisdom.
Petition: For the Altar Umoja congregation to be humble and unified in hearing from God. To have a renewed heart for evangelism. For opportunities to serve in and outside of the community. For them to remain and lead from humble hearts and for God to bless them.
