Scripture:
My heart is not proud, Lord, my eyes are not haughty; I do not concern myself with great matters or things too wonderful for me. But I have calmed and quieted myself. – Psalm 131:1-2a
Find a quiet position before the Lord. Be still and close your eyes. Take some deep breaths to calm your mind. Now, ask God to speak to your mind and heart. Then read the verse several times. Is there a word or phrase that catches your attention? If so, sit with it. Ask God what He is telling you. Is your heart proud or your eyes haughty? Have you been concerning yourself with matters that are bigger than God wants for you? Ask Him to show you.
Prayer:
Lord, I give you my heart, my eyes and the matters that are too big for me. As you show me, help me walk in obedience to Your revelation.
