Scripture: He says, “Be still and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the Nations, I will be exalted in the earth.” – Psalm 46:10
There are two important bits at the beginning of this Psalm. BE STILL and KNOW THAT I AM GOD. It is a simple request: “Just sit with me for a while.” Set aside everything that seems so important and just be in His presence. Recognize that He is God, and we are not. He sees the big picture and knows what is best. Like the calm surface of a beautiful lake, we may think nothing is happening. However, underneath the surface, life is flourishing. Know that the fullness of life exists below the superficial surface and in the quiet depth of your soul.
Prayer: God, I long to be with You in silence. Grant that I may hear Your voice. My prayers and petitions are precious in Your sight. I see Your handiwork in my life and in our church. Guide us in Your ways.
