Scripture:
“He has told you, mortal one, what is good; And what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?”
– Micah 6:8 (NASB)
The summation of the Lord’s requirements can be expressed in three directives: 1) to do justice – do what is right, 2) to love kindness – practice kindness and be compassionate to others, and 3) walk humbly with Him – be walking in a humble relationship with Him. How are you doing in each of these? Take time to think and pray through the verse. Allow the Holy Spirit to speak to you on changes He is encouraging you to make.
Prayer: Lord, thank You for Your compassion in calling me. Teach me to walk humbly with You. Give me the grace to do what is just without concern for how it benefits or hinders me. Place in me a spirit of kindness and help me reflect Your love and Your light to those You bring my way.
