Scripture:
“Do not lie to each other, since you have taken off your old self with its practices and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its Creator.”
– Colossians 3: 9-10
In this world, falsehoods are tolerated and even encouraged at times. However, we are made new in Christ and should not operate like this. We are called to honesty in our lives and in our relationships. God will heal you when you are honest. Test your speech with others. Is what you say true? Have you developed habits of dishonesty? Repent and ask God to create you anew.
Prayer: Dear God, make me/us more like You. May I/we reflect Your image into this world. Strengthen me/us to be honest and transparent in my/our relationship with You and with others. Be the voice that reminds me/us to resist the lies and gossip of the old self.
