Scripture:
So I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks, it will be opened.
– Luke 11:9-10 (NASB)
The words of Christ are both comforting and reassuring. Jesus promises that everyone who asks in accordance to God’s will shall receive, and the one who seeks finds. To the one who knocks, it will be opened. Many times, we live our lives beneath God’s perfect will because we do everything else but ask. As you spend time in God’s presence, ask the Holy Spirit to guide your desire to ask in accordance with the Father’s will. But by all means, ASK!
Prayer: Father, thank You for giving me access to Your throne of grace. Holy Spirit, align my heart to the Father’s will. Remove every selfish trace in me so that I can receive as You have promised.
