What do I want to become when I grow up? What is the meaning or purpose of my life? These questions are common in our culture but are not the questions that God wants us to be asking. He wants us to cry out to Him and to let Him fulfill His purpose in us. Cry out to God and surrender yourself before Him. Let go of your visions and dreams and ask Him to give you His.
Prayer:
Father, I cry out to You from the depths of my soul. I repent of directing my own life. Save me from myself and my need for control. I surrender to Your purposes for me. Reveal them moment by moment and help me to not get in Your way.
