King Solomon tried everything under the sun to find happiness and the meaning of his life. We are subject to the enticement of a world that declares it has the answers regarding what will make us happy. If we are careless with our affection, we may find ourselves coveting and comparing ourselves to others which leads to futility. In the end, King Solomon concluded that the answer is to revere God and do what He says. Today, make a commitment to follow God’s plan.
Prayer:
Father, we praise You that Your Word provides answers to every question we encounter in life. When we are lost, prod us back towards Your path. When we question our purpose, remind us that we already have the answer: to revere You and obey Your leading. That is all that matters in this life and in the life to come.
