Scripture:
I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you. Do not be like the horse or the mule, which have no understanding but must be controlled by bit and bridle or they will not come to you. – Psalm 32:8-9 (NIV)
Take a moment to be quiet before God and think about this verse. Be still. Ask God to speak to your mind and heart. Read the verse several times and sit with it. Is there a word or phrase that catches your attention? If not, do not be discouraged. God speaks on His timing. Let Him know you want to meet with Him.
Prayer:
Help me slow down and listen to You. Thank you for promising to teach and guide me out of love. Lord, instruct and teach me in the way I should go. Counsel me. Help me understand and surrender my stubbornness. Help me to trust You and listen to Your voice. Out of love for Your instruction, I come to You. I submit myself to You.
