Day 125

Scripture:
“The love of the Lord is never exhausted, nor do his deeds of mercy ever come to an end. They are renewed every morning; his faithfulness never ceases.

– Lamentations 3:22-23 (NCB)

The prophet Jeremiah lived through the destruction of Jerusalem by the Babylonians. He watched his brothers/sisters suffer and witnessed the burning of the Temple. In the middle of the pain and affliction, Jeremiah praised God for His love that never ends and His mercy that never fails. When our circumstances seem unbearable, look up to the Father and allow your lips to praise Him. Remember who God is. Nothing is too hard for Him.

Jeremiah’s words inspired a poem that later became one of the greatest hymns ever written, “Great is thy faithfulness.” Sing it until the words are buried deep within your soul.

Prayer:
Father, remind us to praise You every waking moment. We honor You for who You are.
