Scripture:
The people walking in darkness have seen a great light; a light has dawned on those living in a land of darkness.
– Isaiah 9:2 (NIV)
We are not strangers to darkness. At times it seems we are walking in a very dark age. Confusion, doubt, and uncertainty surround us. However, we know that the Light came with the birth of Jesus. He lived and died to give us hope and a future. Today we don’t need to be anxious about the darkness that surrounds us. We have the Light, and He holds the future.
Prayer:
Father, thank you for sending Jesus as the Light of the World. With You living in me, I know I can face the future no matter how dark it may seem. During this Christmas season, help me reflect on Your great love for us. May I be unafraid and confident, trusting in Your word.
