Scripture:

In the New Testament, the word “hope” is a translation of the Greek word “ἐλπίς” meaning a confident expectation; this is a much stronger belief than today’s usual use of “hope” as wishful thinking. As believers in Christ, we can be sure that what is to come is God’s plan and it will come according to God’s timing.

Lord, I believe in You wholeheartedly and ask that You give me the strength to focus on You. Keep me from becoming apprehensive as I wait.
