Scripture:
Therefore, the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, a virgin will be with child and bear a son, and she will call His name Immanuel.

It might be tempting to let the familiarity of this scripture make it seem mundane. Take time to sit with the scripture. Read the verse thoughtfully and carefully. It was a prophecy given 700 years before Christ was born. A virgin will be with a child and bear a son. Isn’t that impossible? “Immanuel” means God with us. Ponder what that means. God is with us.
