Agape is the highest form of love in action – it not only shows empathy, but extends the very goodness of God. Since we, as a church, have many asks of our congregation this season, we have combined several of the ministries we offer during Advent into one missions fair, where everyone can shop and see the opportunities we have to share the love of Christ this Christmas.
We hope you will join us and see the many ways this church can transform lives and communities this holiday season by putting God’s love into action!
Downtown Campus
Downtown Fellowship Hall
Sunday, November 17
9 AM – 10:45 AM & 12 PM – 1:30 PM
Sewing Circle
Tuesday sewing ladies have made crafts and small sewing projects to sell so that their materials can be replenished for future projects in which they make for ministries like El Camino in Honduras.
International Friends Artisan’s Corner
The West Sewing Class teaches those in the West Houston community – and in particular, refugee women – how to use electric sewing machines to sew items as a trade. You’ll have an opportunity to purchase many of those items, helping these women and their families during the holiday season.
NIA Tamale Orders
Order tamales from our Neighbors In Action women, who will be fundraising by making delicious homemade tamales and delivering them to the church the following Sunday.
Magi Tree
If you visit our Magi Trees on either campus, you can select tags from the tree and shop to provide gifts for needy children of local families, as well as those who are part of our global ministries.
Lifeline Tree
The items purchased for Lifeline at Christmas will be listed on mini-stockings, and you can sign up to purchase traditional Christmas stocking presents to be handed out to our Lifeline clients, such as:
- Socks
- Undergarments
- Gift cards
- Metro passes
